Children's Learn to Sew Class -

Yes, your child can learn to sew! Sewing encourages independence and self esteem. Sewing also helps develop patience and perseverance, enhances problem solving skills and other important life skills. Students will experience a sense of accomplishment with each completed project. All that and its fun too! This will be a 2 week class and the lessons will include:

                      How to use a sewing machine
                      Sewing straight lines and zigzags
                      Turning and top stitching
                      Inserting elastic
                      How to make ruffles
                      How to sew in a zipper
                      How to read a pattern

The class is for children ages 7 and up, is limited to 4 or 5 children and will run for 2 weeks. The cost is $80.00 for the 2 weeks. After the Learn to Sew Class is complete, we will be offering Children's Project Classes every other Saturday. We will post the projects on our website. Your child will need the following supplies for all classes:

                        Fabric scissors
                        Paper scissors
                        Pins with large heads
                        Seam ripper
                        Marking tool
                        Pen or pencil
                        Tape measure
